There are routine bits of horrific genius in here, and while a good deal of the banter is the aforementioned slapstick, certain conceits such as The Great Tire Fire of Berlin, the use of old-world ammunition as currency, and just about anything involving the Polaris' terrifying commanding officer, really provide the details that keep you turning the page to see what else you might learn about this setting, and in what strange way you might learn it.)GotT won't be for everyone, but for readers of fast-paced action fantasy with a willingness to smooth/scan over the occasional rough spot of exposition, there's a story here well worth your time. The detailed images are probably the best feature of the book. I am a big fan of memoirs about abuse, but more especially about optimistic recovery.I picked up this book by fluke and am so happy I did so.
