You have this kind of Romeo and Juliet effect wherein you know for a fact that things are supposed to be happening at a fast pace but the characters spend so much time in introspection and generally being difficult that the sense of urgency is completely not there.The main plot is nothing special and some of the sequences would probably remind fantasy readers of quite of few books with the same theme going on so I was expecting that there would be some kind of hook or a variation of the formula to keep it interesting.
