Her command of multiple storylines is impressive, and all of the plots weave together beautifully at the end. It does read like a freshman college textbook, which definitely took me aback, and there are points where the author elaborates on points over an entire page that could have been left to a paragraph, but overall the writing is at least straightforward and clear, avoiding hyper-complex sentence structure as I have exemplified in this review. Through those devices, we follow the personal difficulties surrounding Syd’s first marriage. The first novel, a Princess of Roumania, started ordinarily enough, with Andromeda, Peter and Miranda slowly discovering that their modern day New England world was in fact, an illusion, an artiface. While it provided a great overview of the interview process, I thought the frameworks were a bit over-simplified for MBA interviews. The first, "A Fall before Rising," opens the book and recounts a life-threatening fall during a climb in the Himalayas by the late professor Ramchandran "Jai" Jaikumar.
