From School Library Journal Kindergarten-Grade 4–When Naomi Levin moves to a new town three days before her seventh birthday and the Jewish holiday of Purim, she struggles with the discomfort of being a stranger in a strange place. For two days they ignore the moving boxes and set to baking hamantaschen, buying candy, packing up the goodies, and delivering them to every Jewish family in town. More than a simple holiday tale, this is a satisfying story about the value of giving.–Teri Markson, Stephen S. Her mother suggests that they break the ice with their new neighbors by giving them traditional Purim treats. The "world" is interesting and I bought the next book right away.. This information is available in virtually every help desk book on the market. I can't wait to read more from the author.. Also includes excellent photography.. I gotta admit I'm a little surprised how it all came about seeing how Caden was dead set on it being wrong then once he made it to Elias apartment he all but attacked him lol it was hot but I was like WHOA. And I don't think I would have understood what was implied by the ending if not for the publicity material supplied with my copy of this book (you can read the book description posted on Amazon to get the same information). At any rate, while I connected with the protagonist for part one, I really didn't have any affinity for the protagonist in parts 2 and 3. Seriously! So what she's beautiful, she is a malicious, irresponsible, dishonest, dishonorable . Can all the criticism be justified without it appearing one-sided, granting far too much power to the few? Determining this is beyond this reviewer’s pay grade, yet
